8am - 430pm Job Summary Our nonprofit organization is seeking a Switchboard Operator to answer and redirect a high volume of calls in a timely manner.
In this role, you are typically the first point of contact that an outside caller has with our organization, so it's essential for you to be professional and helpful at all times.
You also need to perform basic receptionist and data entry duties, such as checking in guests for appointments or registering guests upon arrival.
Our ideal candidate has excellent phone skills and can stay calm in various situations to deal with requests or issues.
It's also beneficial to have experience in a customer service-oriented role.
Duties and Responsibilities Answer phones and redirect calls to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner Keep a detailed record of call information Fulfill various receptionist duties as needed Perform data entry tasks Switchboard Operator Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate Excellent phone skills Top-notch communication and listening skills Basic computer proficiency Experience in a customer service role (preferred) Special Requirements Bilingual ( Spanish) is a plus Able to handle the public with a smile Job Type:
